Re: FS: 2000 Acura Integra Type R Indiana

Sorry lol it got bored to 81.25 or something like that (don't remember its been a few years since i studied all of that). I paid for that to get done by a pro that builds dirt track latemodels for all the rednecks that live around my area. He bored my block, gapped my rings, cleaned both the head an...

Re: FS: 2000 Acura Integra Type R Indiana

LMAO I did. And yes just enough to clean the walls. Didn't want extreme stuff done just strong parts. Not as much on speed as I am reliability. But I bought the car with a bad motor and had to rebuild it. Number 1 cylinder was shot and bearing spun.

Re: 01 PY in OH $7,000

Yeah but with a little work someone could have a nice R for around $10,000 given the fact that the rest of the car isn't that bad.

Re: Idle drops randomly

plugs, wires, rotor, cap and dizzy all changed out about 8000-9000 miles ago. I rebuilt the motor about 7000 miles ago started having the issue shortly after a built it. I have checked all my grounds the LOOK good, but I mights take them off and try replacing the wires.

Some times in will drop down to about 100-200 rpms then back up to around 600. I have noticed my volts drop around 12.4 volts some times then I hit my window switch then back up to 14.2 it goes. It just bugs the crap out of me. It only seems to do it durring the day. But at night when I have headlig...

Re: How much fluid to put in the tranny????

yeah I do. I was just wondering why that site said 7.1 cuz you would have to push the car on the drivers side (of course lay a towle or soft cloth down so you don't scratch the paint) to even have a chance to put that much in lol unless I'm just looking at it wrong...

Re: Got an oil leak I cant find ***HELP ME***....please

I have wiped it down quite a few times and looked as it idled. its like it only does it when I'm in vtec when the oil pressure is high. I dont know if this could be it but I read on honda-tech (I think) some one else was having that problem and some one said it could be crankcase pressure causing it...

Got an oil leak I cant find ***HELP ME***....please

I rebuilt my motor last June and I upped the compression a little (11.7) The leak looks like it is coming around the canister on the back of the motor but I really cant tell if thats where its coming from. I can smell oil only when I'm in vtec in a higher gear where I'm in it for longer (3rd and up)...

No, stick with Honda/Acura MTF and change it every 5,000 miles. seems like alot- but will save your trans.
I agree with Bbasso on this one. Never tried amsoil tho so I cant disagree or agree with that

Re: Clutch Replacement

IMO I say stick with the stock clutch since you don't plan on doing much. My motor is beefed up some internaly and have some bolt ons and my works great and my foot don't get tired pushing it in. Now the flywheel I say get rid of the heavy ass chunk of steel and throw a light one in while your down ...
