My ITR won't start.. Suggestion needed.
When I turn the key, it sounds like this video (NOT MINE). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk-ioKvNhz8 It used to do this when the day is wet and damp, but usually it starts once I tried for a couple times. Now, it doesn't come back at all and today is a rainy day. I'm guessing it is the distributor....

Where to buy those plastic clamp bolts?
Working on my ITR today to clean the underside of the car. A couple of those plastic clamp bolts to hold the black soft cover between the wheel and inside of the car, that you pull the center outward to take the whole thing out. I broke a few of those and looking to get some replacement. Does anyone...

Re: Need air filter suggestion.
Yes, it is stock intake. What brand is stock replacement? I usually just bought the FRAM one. As for installation, I meant after open up the air box, the filter is attached to the air hose that has a metal chain very tightly. Taking it out is easy but putting it back is tough. Is there a way to loos...

Need air filter suggestion.
Hi there, it is time for new air filter. I wonder if anyone has recommendation on what brand and stuff. Also, any good trick to replace the filter. I have done quite a few times on my ITR, but it was pain in the butt because of the metal chain around the hose that is so tight. I usually just muscle ...

No check engine light or any abnormal during regular driving.
I didn't mod anything this year beside regular scheduled factory service.

Re: Engine died during autocross run..
The spark plug wires are stock(never changed them.. Should I?). Fuel level was around less than half tank. The motor completely died that I had to turn the key to start it again. I don't think it died during acceleration. For both instances, they were after braking for the corner, I noticed no respo...

Engine died during autocross run..
My 00 ITR engine has died during an autox run. It happened twice this year and I had went to 8 events this year so far. Both cases were my first run of the event(coinsident?). As soon as I noticed it, I turned the key again and engine fire back up. It seems to work just fine for the rest of the day....

Re: Install wheel spacer.. need replace stud??
I'd be all over a month ago. I just bought 4 millenia wheels.
BTW, did you put lubricant between the spacer and the wheel hub when you install the wheel spacer?

Install wheel spacer.. need replace stud??
I'm planning to install 5mm wheel spacer for my 00 ITR running 225 width tire in the front for Autox. I'm guessing that I'll need to replace the wheel stud. I have no experience in wheel stud replacement, so I have a few question. Do I need to take the brake and rotor out before bangging the stud ou...

Re: Timing Belt Change
I'm no expert. However, my owner manual said 105k to replace timing belt. May be the owner manual is retarded as Dave said, or I'm retarded following the owner's manual. ;) I did go through some instruction online, and I don't think it is that easy like breaking the crank pulley bolt free, adjusting...

Oh, sorry.. I forgot car ages with time too
I just got mine done (105k) a couple weeks ago, it cost $650 at my dealership without the valve adjustment.

Re: Check Engine P1457 on my ITR
Well, went back to dealership; and this time, they said it is the "Vent Shut Solenoid" instead.
Cost $270 to replace it, hopefully that's it.

loose gas cap is P1456 from what I heard, not P1457.Dave_B wrote:Oddly enough, and probably not the issue... but if the gas cap is not tight, it too can cause this same code.

LSD Need oil change?
I have owned my ITR for 105k now. It has been both my Autox and dd car. I have got all the schedule maintainence done on the car per factory instruction, and just started to wonder about the LSD as I don't remember my dealership ever replace oil in it. Do I need oil change on that? if so, how often?
