Honda Pil0t... thoughts?

Anything goes? Well, if you keep it clean and aren't obnoxious.

In my wife's 2006 Honduh Odyssey we were able to get 29mpg on the way to Orlando with 5 people in the van. We also averaged 25.5mpg on a 1200 mile trip at 80mph with 7 people in the van, a plastic bubble on the roof, and a basket on the hitch packed full of ish. The VCM was just able to keep up at 80mph, anything over and it would not go in to ECO mode. Honduh 3.5 FTW!

The pilot is not quite as slippery as the odyssey.

VCM?
ECO?

3.5L Vtakk = 'pops' super hard (with the airbox baffle out and the air box lid off)
240hp/242ft-lb = :D
4400+# = :(

I can't wait till the new drag strip is open near the speeday... I will take the pilot there for test and tune and see if I can get her well into the 15's. 8)

VCM = Variable Cylinder Management (3 cylinder mode)
ECO = Light in the dash that indicated VCM is engaged

It's standard on all EX and up level Odysseys for 2005+.

Yes, the new Pilots have them too. I think for 2008 they refined the VCM even more were it goes from 6 to 4 to 3 cyl mode.

New tires have been mounted and a 4 wheel algnment (-0- toe) =
During the alignment we replaced one rear suspension bolt and tired to 'free' the other. :|

Looks like I will have to buy an $80 suspension arm (vs. just a bushing).
Thankfully the alignment was spot on w/o having to move that adjustment bolt on the passenger side.

Lots of lube has been applied to the other adjustment bolts. :|

Lifetime Fuel Economy: 19.7 MPG(US)
90 Day Running Average: 19.31 MPG(US)
MPGs have been nicey nice so far. :)

Once the rear suspension arm was cut off and replaced the alignment cleaned up very nice (thanks Jack)

Timing belt replacement how-to:
http://www.piloteers.org/forums/18-main ... ement.html

I still need to find a set of dual piston front calipers and install a brake upgrade. :)

Then install the tranny/power steering coolers and a hitch.

I still need to get a coat of wax on her.

I just bought a 2006 Pilot ex. Great rig! I haven't had a chance to test our mileage out, but it sipped on the highway on our first road trip. Safety ratings are great, and it seats 8....and my wife decided it was 100x better than an Odyssey (whew!)!
