Hi guys/gals
I bought a 97 #424 itr a few weeks ago and I need to fix the rad. Previous owner put in AC, the AC core has vibrated against an aftermarket rad enough to cause a very very small pinhole in there. When I turn the car off, I can hear the rad and see the rad spray a little steam/coolant (from the front passenger side where it's rubbing the ac core). These are literally "PIN holes". The amount of liquid coming out is very small but none the less, exists
So, I have a couple options here to fixing it and figured I would turn to the pro's for your opinion. Here they are:
1. Install my OEM s2000 rad (if it fits)
2. Put my OEM s2000 rad back in the s2000 and my spoon rad in the ITR (again, if it fits)
3. Somehow try welding the pinholes
4. Find a low mileage oem integra rad (but they are prone to cracking)
5. buy a koyo/mishimoto etc.
thanks everyone
Chris

Re: radiator issue - any ideas?
I would stay away from a used integra radiator, My R has the original rad. with 69k and it seems fine, however my 98 gsr rad. failed with only 38k on the odo. years ago. I also used to have a 94 gsr and sold it with 85k and it still had the original rad. in it. I agree with you that they are prone to cracking but some seem to last a long time. If you go oem then get a new one. It should last you a few years anyway.
I have no experience with aftermarket radiators in integras. Hopfully someone else can chime in on that one. It there is one that fits well then that would be good option over oem.

i have a KOYO aluminum racing radiator. seems to fit fine. its deff large tho. should keep me cool on hot days lol.
i doubt the S2000 one fits worth a damn. same on fixing it. used oem one could land you back in the same spot soon. and aftermarket OE replacements are ehh.
personally, OEM or KOYO... and if you have a nice stockish 97R, i would say only OEM.

Thanks guys. I have verified that the s2k rad does NOT fit in the dc2 without some modification that I'm not willing to do.
KOYO/MISHIMOTO seems to be the way to go at this time. The rad that was in the car when I bought it was gigantic but the previous owner put cardboard over half so it would heat up faster. So I'm not really worried about having a big rad, it may need it
