Well you have clicked into this topic because of the catchy title, right?
or just trying to find out why its our Time to OWN!!!
Well here come the reasons and what we hope all Vancouver B.C. ITR owners will help us do in a one shot deal.
Personally I think that Vancouver B.C. (Canada,EH!) is HOME to as many type R's as any state in the USA (not a fact, just stating my opinion) but seriously I see a few everyday here and there and I for a fact know there are a ton of R's just garage sitting or for some reason, and just won't come out and
play. boo on you guys
anyways, After seeing the meet for Thomas, the california video and meet pictures and texas I believe and Chicago owning us Canadians with their nice R meetings and everything, I started to wonder why Americans are superior to us, (juss kiddin) in terms of their meets and everything. Well this time how about us Canadians show them who actually ownz EH!
THE PROPOSED PLAN
1) As for ITR meets before, we have had the following problems, picking a day ususally a sunday or saturday and then trying it figure out who can come on what day and dates and then who can make it on what day and time etc etc. This time I propse that WE ALL SET A DATE in a VERY advanced warning AND TRY the BEST YOU CAN (basically just do anything to go) to show up please. So we have as many members as possible out at the gathering.
2) As in the past we had around anywhere from 10-14 ITR's show up, I know that we have a ton more out there, this meet will probably be the LAST of 2002, unless someone else wants another one, BUT we have to leave 2002 with the biggest and best group we can get together, and show why we proud to be Canadian's . So everyone coming or everyone who knows about it PLEASE if you see an ITR around invite them to come, tell them about honda-tech.com give them your phone number, my phone number, email address whatever it takes so that they'll just know we exist and that they can come out and join our gathering. And in the past myself i've seen other itr's that I told that never really showed up, I think if you on this board you'll come basically cuz the members here are nice people and do particapate in these things.
3) As for getting the word around, i'll be posting on many local and even northwest boards, northwest ITR"S WELCOME TO JOIN OUR PARTY since i don't know if you guys have a ton of ITR's in washington to play with, you guys know who you are, feel free to come even if you guys just wanna join us, ITR or no ITR we still share the love. Like the idea came up to make a flyer or something, but I dont' see enough ITR to even put it on cuz I rarely see them parked, but Everyone once again just try to invite your friends who own an ITR and never came to a meet, just tell them this one is special.
4) As for Location, YES I KNOW NO MORE RICHMOND EVER yeah yeah haha
as for other places some of us complain that its too far, etc etc bitch bitch (me included), so how about JERICHO BEACH and everyone meet up in their own prospective groups at a SHOP or College or mall or etc and go together from whoever is located around your area to the CENTRAL MEETING PLACE. Its an ideal place, not too close not too far and its nice there.
5) We have to decide on a BBQ or a RESTAURANT IN VANCOUVER that can hold 20-30 cars, cuz that is what we aiming to show etc, bring a friend, bring a GF, bring your Dog its a time to just gather and have our chit chat etc etc and social time. If we bring food we'll have a list for that if we go somewhere it better hold at least 30 of us I hope or more...(i'm hoping for big numbers can't blame a guy for trying)
6) LASTLY and Finally we need to pick a DATE as stated above, LATE OCTOBER the LAST SUNDAY OR THE MONTH or the FIRST SUNDAY OR NOVEMBER what does EVERYONE THINK OF THAT, PLEASE SUGGEST A DAY AND TIME FOR ANOTHER DAY if you think it wil be beter and locations as well, please give me feedback on that if you can. And if you guys want to get some honda-tech.com stickers my friend is willing to print some up, we just gotta pay for the materials tehy wont' be big or anything, 8inches max probably or 10 inches max, nothing that stands out
just chip in 1-2 dollars and we get a bunch of them cut up and everyone can have like 2, only 50 cents a piece maybe. If you don't wanan pay i'll pay for them or something, but if we get a ton then yeah you guys please help me out. 10-20 no problem, got that covered (please tell me if you guys want something like this, or if honda-tech will get mad we are doing this instead of buying from them) we still promoting though
SORRY TO make all you guys read that, I just wanted to be as thorough as possible and I know I repeated some stuff, spelled some stuff wrong but forgive me. We just trying to have one last Fall 2002 ITR honda tech bash to end the year off and show people that we do have a TON of ITR here and other nice cars as well of course please leave your opinions on the date the time etc etc the location and what we should do.
