HDTV is pretty cool and FREE!

Anything goes? Well, if you keep it clean and aren't obnoxious.

HDTV is pretty cool and FREE!

Post by Bbasso »

So I am no where near able to purchase a HDTV Bling thing :( And I don't even have cable or some sort of pay service.

BUT I did get the Dtv converter box and hooked it up to my old 27 inch along with my amplified HDTV driectional indoor attenna and...

WHOA! I should have done this the first minuet it was availibe!!!!
Lets start.
used to get 4 channels, just OK resception.
NOW I get 18 channels, Nearly perfect reception- a few double channles, DTV and STV channels of the same.
It displays many options, what direction to point the attenna (strength meter). rating system if you have kids. all the current shows and what's next. 4.3 or 16.9
As for some of the other channels, Weather all the time & national weather like the one from weather.com!
I'm talking clear and a pleasure to watch FREE TV again.
If you are not a channel surfer and hate paying for TV service then look into this option.

What I have is two things, less then $90 for both.
First I had and still have is a GE Amplifed Futura antenna. 39.00
and the recent part is the RCA DTV conveter, DT800B1 49.00- make sure you get the B1 because it has analog pass through.
I'm still messing around with the setup, but so far I'm very happy.
