Or had factory installed A/C and some moron removed it.

my trip home from e10 made my decision for me. I was messing with a few of the guys in the caravan on the way out that my DD ek hatch had AC and some of the guys didn't have it in their caRs. As soon as I hit RT80 on the way home my AC belt shredded. That's what I get for picking on people with no AC.
So I was convinced when I found a caR for myself that it hd to have AC...and luckily the one I found had the AC intact and working!

Yeah, I think you made the final decision at that stop near Toledo on the way home, right? 8)

Ryan, best way to get A/C is to buy all the parts off someone parting their car out. I got lucky when I need a compressor and bought an almost complete A/C setup for the same price as a used compressor.

I can't live without it, make sure you get the relays for the fan and compressor clutch. My A/C is currently not working and it looks like it could be these relays. :( So for the past 3 weeks the integra has been parked as it is too hot and humid to drive it.

Any other questions about A/C feel free to ping me as I have replaced and removed almost every part and recharged many a/c units...

They sell master import O-ring kits from any autoparts store. Relays are like $50 each, I may need to buy some new ones. The placement is ridiculous, between the rad and compressor. I need to take the rad out to get at them!

<--just reinstalled A/C into DB8R. Car was missing belt and tensioner, replaced those, and it still did not work. Wiring to compressor had slipped a bit apparently.

Friend at Acura helped out, and those R134A machines are awesome at adjusting pressures. It was probably the coldest A/C at Gingerman last weekend :P

shit im really about a c-hair from pulling my AC out of my R. was stupid hot a week or two ago and it stopped working on the way home. today i took a quick glance down at the AC compressor to notice it caked in melted rubber it looks like :( i might just bag it for now. think i would rather have a couple more hp, and better cooling with it gone at the moment, over AC for a couple days a year...

on a side note, AC compressor thats on there only cost me 20bucks anyway lol.

only reason I have mine is for defogging windows. If it weren't for that I'd have pulled it out long ago. It's definitely nice to have, but certainly not necessary.

I think you still need it for the track car if you drive to the track. No way we would have made it to Autobahn to NY without A/C

F that, if I pull AC out of a car it's because I load it on to a trailer to get to the track. I can deal with cold all day, but this heat shit sucks.
