So... itr expo seems to be dead... ???

Post by Bbasso »

From my memory, all past expo dates were announced just prior to the holidays,,, just in time for the holiday money crunch :P
But back on point, I can think of two things.
The commitee is waiting for the new year to pass and have less issues with people signing and committing.
Or it's dead or close to death.

I've heard rumors of rumors, so to me they hold no value...
Should we keep our hopes up or did we all kill the chance of another itr expo?

Speaking of rumors...

I heard Bbasso was going to spend all his time at the Expo detailing cars at half price.

Jon said nothing at the T-Day meet, and I mean nothing. I know a few of us were discusssing it, but none of us knew anything, just rumors.

I'm gonna be upset if it is dead, its one thing I look forward to each year now. :(

Even if it didn't go this year... I'm sure another track event would come up, or some other people would step up to do something similar. Think about it... WTDR is always a sucess, and this last one had the best attendance yet. While it could not be as big of a thing as in the past, I'm sure something will happen.

*fingers crossed for E9*

I have zero fears about the even not happening. I have full confidence in the committee. They have asked us to be patient, so patient I am going to be. :D

E8 may have been my last Expo for a bit, if E9 is during the week again. I have way too many travel obligations next year, and not nearly enough vacation time :(
I've had beer at VIR, Summit Point, CMP, Roebling, Road Atlanta, BeaveRun, Gingerman, MAM, Lowe's Motor Speedway...

I want to cry. For the last 3 years, I might have watched thousand time the ITR expo video. I could not come because of financial issue. I live far away in canada, and the trip to go there while I'm a student was too expensive. But this years, for the first time I could come with my friend. I dream about the expo. I'm trying to understand a reason why it would not happen? I cross my finger so hard...Has something wrong happened last year?

8 hours? Thats weak compared to what you pulled for E5 Rob.

I don't care where its at. I'll be there, driving, with good tires and LSD, and probably sponsoring for 4iar. E9 would be 6iar for me.

Yeah I know... but income was slightly better and the car was younger those days.
If it needs to be towed home, anything past 8 hours would be too much $ to handle :(

I can tow with the Civic. :)

Be not afraid. Rent a tow dolly and swap the tow hitch over and make way!

And the hitch on my car fits yours...
But I have a feeling that the mounting points (frame) would rip right out :(

It still scares me just towing 1000 lbs :P

You'd have to stay in 3rd just to maintain 55 while towing Robs caR. :P
