Good news, folks!!!

She fuckin runs!!! I have yet to take her on the street or really anywhere but idle on the lift, but she runs and has excellent compression!

I still have to pack the car, pick up my marketing stuff, and watch the brakes as even though I bled the system several times, the brake pedal seems very low when the car is running...

and.... i spoke too soon...

the car cut out on the drive from the shop to the house...

the short story is just as soon as the turbo spooled, the motor went way rich and cut out. I have not been able to get the motor running since, but have confirmed that I still have decent compression and fuel to the rail... Perhaps my spark plugs got toasted already??

Thoughts?

Car got onto ground at 7pm. Adjusted height, alignment is WAY off (missed my alignment appointment at 6:30)
Gauge cluster was out, fixed that, was a broken lead on back sheet of it.
Put restricter (aluminum pop rivet) in the oil feed, hopefully that remedies the SMOKING I've got. Hopefully turbo isn't shot :(

Going for alignment first thing in the AM.... if car is running ok... I'll pray to someone to let me tech late. Or just run Sunday or something. I won't bring it unless it'll pass tech though... so someone should have an easy time passing it :p I know how to tech a car.

Hopefully I'll see you guys tomorrow morning.

Turbo cars are a bitch, aren't they>???

And I assume from your post that your drain flange gasket failed on the turbo? or was it something else that suggested a restrictor?

Good luck with it, dude.

It was the oil pooling in the exhaust housing/exhaust.

Anyways, turbo is not healthy. Pulled off and put a borrowed header on it this morning. Added Cat and dump pipe.

Trying to get it on road, retune, align and drive down to hang out. Hopefully I'll at least be there to hang out tonight/afternoon.
