Required to have an ITR for Expo?

Is it a requirement to bring an ITR to Expo or is any car okay?

Are there very many people that don't bring an R?

Just wondering because I have wanted to go to Expo for many years, but haven't got around to picking up an R yet.

I am also wondering about theft. With so many nice cars in one place, has anyone ever had to worry about getting their car stolen or vandalized? I saw something about camping on the track as well... do many people do this? I imagine it would make it easier to hear your car if the alarm went off.

Any car is allowed now, if you view the participants list you'll see a various assortment (http://www.itrexpo.com/participants.php)

I wouldn't worry about theft, people are up and around at all hours.

No, you don't have to have an R. We want to get as many there is possible, but other cars are not excluded. If you look at the list of attendees you'll see there are cars of all types.

As Steve said, there are always people around and up hanging out late into the night. Not to mention you'd be pretty dumb to steal one with that many paranoid sleepless crazies around who jump at the sound of nearly any exhaust noise. At the track definitely don't worry. The track is gated and yes there are lots of people camping.

Expo is the one un-missable event if you at all like hondas IMO. Can't beat it.

The event has always been welcome to non-ITR attendees. As Erik/others have stated, it is truly a special event for the Honda community. You brought up theft, which is always a concern, but not at this event. That doesn't mean we are lax, but with that many owners together you truly get to experience the community in all of its great aspects.

If you really want to get into this community, this is the one stop, end all be all method to do it.

Last night I dreamed we were at Expo, I was in R-box, in the tech line, and Jay was walking by and I asked him about shirts, and he said we had them for e10 and e9! And then I made a girly squeal of excitement, hahaha! :D

Are we there yet? :D :D :D

I went by myself last year after all my friends bailed, drove my gsr, didnt matter, I had a great time, met some cool people, everyone is really friendly (drunk) ha I just walked around all day with a cold pbr in hand listening to the sweet sound of vtec wide open on the back straight. I wont make it this year do to a deployment, but hope to have my 97 ready for next year.

Lets put it this way, I wont miss another expo no matter where in the country I am, but the goal is to drive my future R to every event, I hope they continue for a long time.......
