Haha no it was pretty stock I believe. He was downshifting to 2nd gear on the back straight and I was staying in 4th gear. It was 120 degrees on track so I didn't need to be downshifting just to blow another car for video purposes. I had a bunch of lag in 4th because I was at like 2,000 rpms when I hit it...listen to the video and you'll hear the car doesn't rev up until a bit down the straight.

The first scene of the whole vid you can see I'm flying up behind him when I was going all out.

I thought the same thing honestly...definately some fast cars in my class. I'm hoping for Summit Point in August and then moving up to HPDE 3.

I can't wait for the next event haha...VIR was awesome. But I did blow my power steering...the steering rack was covered in fluid.

It took me a long time to learn the course...definately 10 x's harder than Autobahn. That video was like my 1st session of the weekend.

Yeah, I would've politely declined getting in your car. 600+whp, <3,000lbs, only a few hours of track time under your belt. Helllllll no. These instructors must not care for their lives.

Some people also have an innate ability to drive and handle a car and are more mature than others when driving at speed. I guess you just had a real bad experience.

basing your line off the cars in front of you is a sure fire way to do everything completely wrong. You're mostly just missing apexes and not using enough of the track. More relying on your horsepower rather than using it.
