Can you authenticate with wireless APs that require a windows login (ie, RADIUS auth) with the iPad?

Probably either this holiday season or Jan/Feb (next WWDC). They are selling too well right now though, so I don't anticipate them doing anything soon.

I wonder what the next iPad will have, I hope it's a phone so I can have something larger than the droid X.

I'd really like to see them make the 27" iMac touch screen, battery powered, with a phone in it.

Hopefully it has video conferencing or the Cisco tablet will take the market share.

Look up Cisco Cius.

The only problem I see with the Cisco could potentially be the price. Cisco is very fond of their gear and price it accordingly. Also, what are the technical specifications for HD audio? I understand 720p or 1080p for video, but what is HD audio?

No clue on the audio. It's so far looking to be closer to $700. But keep in mind what all it currently has over say an Ipad or other similar tablets.

But what it doesn't have is market share, name recognition, and a million apps developed for it.

This is true. But then again it's built on Android OS, so the apps will be there for it.

Agreed. Even with an Android OS it will take time for developers to release app's designed for the tablet. I don't event want to spend $500, so a $700 unit is completely out of the question. When (and if) Apple drops the price down to $400, I may consider getting one. So far my MBP has been the best $1000 I'v spent all year.

How long has Android been out? I'm very disappointed at the apps available compared to the Apple store. That's really my only complaint about my Droid phone, the apps are severely behind where Apple is. Apple also struggled at first for iPad specific apps but there are now TONS of apps today. With Android not having a standard screen size or resolution, I see it even being a larger challenge for Android programmers to port their apps.

2 things though, Apple has had the Apps market for quite some time and they are more suited around Business. Seems most of the apps for Android currently are based on consumer users.

Also keep in mind that Apples approach to apps is totally different than Android. Anyone can write apps for Android. Apples approach is totally different.

I'm not taking away from Apple at all, or saying the Cisco is going to be better. Just what technology will be going to.

I would disagree though. Most the apps are suited for consumer based use.

The developers are usually the same people. They just have more time (experience) in the Apple market since it has been around longer. Anyone can write apps for the Apple market too though, they just have to be approved (good and bad). At the beginning of the year Apple released a statement saying they would limited the use of emulator type programming apps, but they have since recanted that statement.

I realized I sound like an Apple fanboi, but its worth noting I do not own an iPad or an iPhone. (yet)
