I would continue to wait. My understanding is these tires are on backorder. Andy has also mentioned that Jeremiah (from Bridgestone / attended ITR Expo) has mentioned they plan to do another $100 off coupon like last year.

Since this is a tire thread and all...

What are some decent tires that are not Exteme summer tires? Something that will last 20k miles (not tracking on them) in todays lineup?

Well since this is an Extreme Performance Tire category thread and all...

Most of these should last 10-20k depending on driving habits, alignment (Toe), and tire rotation.

Well, my RE-11s have nearly 13k total miles on them (inc 5 two day track events) and they still have good life left. I bet I'll get 16k no problem. For those who don't track I'm sure you can get 20-25k no prob.

Dunlop Star Specs are only $97 a tire in 195/55 and I think are slightly better in hydroplane resistance.

If you want to drop out of Extreme....I will probably be aiming for Yoko S.Drives once my Kumho SPTs(discontinued in our size) are done for Lucy. $77 a tire in 205/50. Great DD tyre.

If I can get Dan, aka Conev8r in here, he ran a set a Kumho XS's at ITR Expo. He has pictures of them picking up rubber from other people's tires on the track. He also said that the hotter the tires got, the more they gripped, unlike others.

Anyone else have any experience with them?
