How are you getting your R to the Expo this year?

Being slightly concerned about getting home in one piece this year
I started looking in to towing the car to and from the Expo.
Hory Chit!
I called Uhaul and asked what it would cost,
19.99 for the van
49.99 for the auto transport.
and 1.99 for
each mile.
from Brooklyn to Alton : 926 miles (round trip) X 1.99 = $1844.xx
PLUS gas and tolls and all the other crap that come with this.
As you can guess, I will not be going with Uhaul. that's insane!
Maybe I could borrow my freind's Ford E350 van to tow with...
I'm wonder how all of you are getting to the Expo?

HAHAHHAHAHAHA
That's one of the things I have in the works. Let's just say I'm trying to tow 3 cars on one trailer and fit about 4 guys comfortably in the truck.
We'll see how that works out.

thats not right. There is a certain amount of mileage included and they have packages for it. When moving Kate out here we had a truck for 7 days with trailer and a 2200 mile limit before we were charged per mile and the whole thing was barely over $1000

I drove to 5 and 6.
5 was pretty easy since it was 20 mins away from home.
Its a 2600 mile round trip for 7.
I plan on borrowing my Dads truck and trailor and towing it out this year.

I just got the auto transport (4 wheel trailer, very nice too!) from Uhaul to tow my R from NC to NY (801 mile trip) they only charged me $242.

Can the Titan tow something like that? That seems like a lotta weight.

there are some trailers that light. A 2 car open trailer would be cake for it, but it'd probably have to be on of the Featherlite enclosed ones. Hard to say.

How it's getting there has changed... LOL
Now I'll be rocking a Chevy 3500 duely (sp) and my usual trailer.
Found out I had to have a CDL for the 5th wheel setup and I can't make that happen in time. Oh well...
