New ITR Registry

The registry has been around since 08/08/08. Both previous and past Integra Type-R owners can register their caR's and have a little place to add pictures, comments, buld lists, etc. With over 700 caRs on the registry now, it is fun to surf the listings and see all the beautiful and "interesting" R's out there. It's fun to see and share a common intrest with so many Honda enthusiasts around the globe. The listings are based on the interior badge number found on all integra type-r's with the exception of the JDM 96-spec, non Rx JDM 98-spec, and DC5 ITRs. Those are still listed, but listed in order by year, then listed date. With the badge number, there is no need to use a VIN or any registration type of info in this registry. That should make ITR owners happy due to the obvious safety concerns.

The second part of the registry's website is the information side of things. I have a large collection of Type-R sales brochures, accessory catalogs, press information kits, and some other odds and ends such as Mugen catalogs. I have also been working directly with Honda of Australia, and Honda/Acura of America and been getting some help with some facts and recently gained the ability to figure out missing badge numbers for 1997 and 1998 American ITR's. If you have a 1997 or 1998 I'll just need your VIN. Apparently if the VIN serial number (last 5-digits) is over 04113, then it isn't on the list. The list doesn't go higher than that. That only encompasses a small portion of each '97s and '98s. All of these things are located on the "Links" page and are categorized accordingly. I have also put together some pages to compare the differences between the ITR's in different markets. Please take a look and feel free to ask me any questions.

So, I had some spare time on my hands lately and was looking through some muscle car registries. They all look like site’s made in the mid 90’s (vintage, classic, etc.). I wondered if there was an ITR registry since they were limited production. I didn’t find one on Google except for the Jaguar Type-r (lol) site. I searched Honda-tech and ITRCA and found that there was an old one that hasn’t worked for some time now. I also saw some forum posts of some text-based lists. I spent a few hours toying with the idea and I decided to put up a new webpage. Please take a look and let me know if you think it is a good idea. I have some example data on there for now so people can see the look and feel. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I wanted some input. If you go to the 2001 section I put my car as an example of the photos/owner comments that everyone can also do. I think if enough people listed their cars it would be a pretty cool site. Well, just a little update. There are now somewhere near 115 cars listed and counting. 2/3 of which are US and Canadian. Many of the ITRCA users are also Honda-tech users and I thank you again for your input and support. If you haven't listed your caR yet, hop on! I love seeing the pictures come through!

It's been almost 1 year since I started my lil' registry site (08-08-08). I always wanted to put something more useful on the ITR Links page than a few links to so-so unofficial lists of specs and such. So I've been busy collecting a bunch of information from all the different Honda websites, sales brochures, etc.

I've reorganized the links page and added a couple of new sections to it. The ITR Specs and Cross-Market Comparisons, and the ITR and Non-ITR Integra Comparisons. I created some comparisons to the different ITR's from the different markets. One is a side by side comparison of different specs and figures. The rest are visual comparisons between them. It will be a work in progress as I get more brochures and forms of Honda published material. If you do spot an error please let me know so I can fix it (sometimes I go too quck and don't proof-read everything). Some fields will remain incomplete (or empty) till I can confirm they are correct. Some Japanese translations are poor, but will be gradually corrected.

Thanks! The guy I've been working with owns the USDM J's car. I'm having the same problem with them as I've had with Spoon and Mugen....no one likes to talk about old car models! It must be the single biggest waste of their time or something. At least J's sent me some pictures and wrote what they did.

That could be the case with some of the companies. I generally let them know I'm looking for a contact that was with the company in the mid-late 90's. It sounds like Acura still has quite a few of the older guys there. I wish they would hire someone (an intern or something) to make their paper archives digital. Then it would be easier for them to look for things from the ITR era.
