The only way to do it is pull the AXLE there is no other trick ive done it a 100 times. You have to pull the axle.

Possible solenoid they do go bad and still dont throw a code. I would check vtec solenoid assemble screen between assembly and cylinder head. 2-If they just put your head back to gether they may of left something out like the oil control orifices on the end of the cam plates.
