It has a Certificate of Destruction title out of FL. I called the South Carolina DMV prior to purchasing and they told me that I could get a rebuild/salvage title if I built the car and documented the build. Once I was done, I was told I could not.

20 mins... :|
It takes that long to check the kids in at the play area.

Which stand did you get? Jack just picked up one like mine (for the CRT weight).

Well, i've heard PA is one of the more lenient states to get a vehicle a reconstructed title.. and it can't be done here in PA either.

From Penndot:
Please be reminded that the Department does not accept “unrebuildable vehicle certificates”, “Certificate of Destruction” or other “parts only” type documents issued by other titling jurisdictions with any Pennsylvania salvage or title and registration applications submitted for processing. Vehicles identified on these documents indicates that the vehicle was acquired as a “parts only” vehicle and, therefore, the vehicle cannot be retitled nor registered with the vehicle being branded as reconstructed or specially constructed.

IIRC, Washington state is also one of the easier ones, and i have a good buddy there also. Let me check and see if anything can be done.....

I just needed something to hold the a/v gear for the new man cave setup. The TV's are all on the wall so I needed something small and not very deep. I picked up the Vallvik TV stand (it was cheap).

Here's the new setup:

I have been exploring the Mechanic's Lien option. From what I have been told, they issue a new clean title after that has completed. I know that is how it works in Tennessee and I believe that North Carolina is the same way.

As a backup, I'm looking for a wrecked ITR with a clean title that I can get the firewall VIN from. :)

 man cave joy.

Us = BESTÅ JÄGRA (black) was $150 now $99 (only one that can support a ~200# CRT)

Also have 2 matching BESTÅ style "end tables" on each side with 4 red FLÖRT boxes (in each) to hold dvd's/etc.
In the BESTÅ JÄGRA (on the shelf) there is one larger white/green trim FLÖRT box that holds the Wii stuff. (Blu-Ray/router are on the other side.)
