Never heard that before...
Yeah, I'd love to make it down to Sebring at least once.

Ah, Sebring is a wonderful track, while not smooth at all (Think, WWII era runway) it's got a historic feel to it. It can be scary as hell too. T17 and T1 come to mind. T17 is a bumpy, double apex with a wall on the inside and outside. It "narrows" as you come into it. And T1 is blind, and you should be so close you can reach out the window and touch the wall.
One day I'll get back there.

Moving does suck...I did a lot in a 2 year period...in some ways I hope my next move is my last

She WILL be done before baby comes, that HAS to happen. LOL
We planned with this move, it will be the last for 10 years. We are doing this both as a new place, new home owners and as a great investment. 2400 Sq/Ft for 150k is a deal, even here in SC. Talked to the neighbors the other day, they are getting ready to sell, a few less Sq/Ft and they aren't taking less than 175k.

Can't complain at all. When the day comes to sell, I hope to make 50k off the deal. That would be an awesome downpayment on say... 10 Acres.

GET A ROOM YOU TWO!
and dave, I'm envious of the awesome deal you got. I wish I would of waited for the pending tanking of the market before I bought.

I absolutely love the deal I got. Builders are the way to go these days. They are taking pennies on the dollar.

10 acres would be sweet. Nice house with standard attached garage. Modern barn-garage outback for man-cave. Lift. Big yard for fire pits/activities. "Out back" for shootin' gunz... PULL!!

yeah next time around land WILL be an absolute requirement. An abundance of family land in Upstate NY might be one of those things that gives me a nudge to go back in that direction.

That is the goal, and the next step after this house would be one with acreage. All of those you mentioned Joe would be on the list.

You can get it MUCH cheaper here, depending on where. Of course it won't be in the middle of down town, but not more than 20-30 minutes to downtown.
I was looking in a place called Fountain Inn, SC. Could have gotten 6 acres, plus house for like 95k. IIRC house was around 1800 or so Sq/Ft.

a day behind again, but I miss my home track. Mid-Ohio. I guess VIR is my new home track though I've yet to go since I got down here.

how much longer are you in winston for?
if you come up to VIR next weekend you should just put $50 down on the hyperdrive

hyperdrive is too weak to be worth it. I'm here for either 2-3 more months or till next summer
