Well, mine won't give me my results, I guess my bandwidth is just too wide
Seriously, I don't understand why it's taking so long....

I have to admit... The reason why I posted this is because I had DSL for years and never saw a speed variation more then 50 from 725 kbps. Now that I have the cable modem... I have seen everything from 340 to 5200
So I called the Cable Co. and asked what gives... they said that cable fluctuates with the amount of users but my avg speed of 750-800 is not right so they suggested i get a eithernet cable from the modem to computer. Because the USB cable that came with the kit was limiting the speed. So I happen to have one, plugged it in and BAM! I have speed.
So my tip is to those using a USB cable, Get an eithernet cable and watch the speeds grow.
Good luck!

It definitely makes a big difference. I always recomend that to people I see using the USB cable.

this isnt accurate because a server can be closer to someone than it is to someone else...
it says im getting 3.6mbps, but i've seen it download at 987 kbytes/s
987kb = .987Mb= (.987 x 7)MB= 6.909MB
so my speed should be around 7MBPS

I'm not using this as a scientific measuring tool... Just having some fun. Besides, How much could be off ? Enough to make one guy's computer look like a turd and the other's a super freak?
If you want to get technical then try out

no photoshop at all. Sometimes though if you refresh the page after a test it seems to confuse itself.

lol...I just checked the bandwidth from my Sidekick II (GPRS), and it reads:
35.77 Mbps
Which means you can download at 4.47 MB/sec. from our servers.
Something isn't right....haha
