Which cats fit?

Post by VR4ownzU »

My gf needs a Cat for her 99 LS sedan. You guys know what other CATS fit that aren't straight pipes but REAL converters? She's throwing the check engine code so I assume its the cat and some sort of sensor? Sorry if this isn't Type R related but no one has figured this out yet.

thanks,
Nick

yeah...it comes back after a few days. We flooded the cat too much when it was missing for a few days. She barely drove it but it was enough to kill it. My shop told me its a cat and since the sensor is in the cat and I'm in Ohio they would do that too. 500 freaking dollars. My GF can't afford that so I'm trying to figure out how to find something used.

if i'm not mistaken the ITR cat is a different size in more way then one, so asking in this forum is a waste of your time. search on other forums, try a junk yard and craigslist. sorry but this is the way it is.

Or you could drive the living piss out of it for a halfhour and see if that heats up the cat enough to burn it clean. still might hace to replace the sensor...
