replacement seats?
i bought my 2000 Type R from a dealer that had a previous owner, he installed racing seats, unfortunatly im 6'5 and the seats are very uncomfortable. i really liked the old GS leather seats in the old integras. Does anyone know a good place to get replacement seats? or what exactly will fit in the Type R, can i get leather seats that are made for any Integra 2 door coupe?
Even if they arent leather i just need osmething that reclines and isnt too slim. thanks

Re: replacement seats?
I'm 90% sure all front seats from integras 94-01 will fit.
The choices are endless.
As for finding used stock ITR seats, not hard. Getting stock ITR new from a dealer, Exspensive!

Either way, we have plenty of big n tall owneRs....sure we can steer you to a more comfortable seat
Btw, is there a # on the badge on the center console?

Re: replacement seats?
yes they are Recaros. they dont recline enough for a 6'5 guy like myself. i will save the seats, but i need something that reclines a little and has a little more leg room.
here is a picture of one of them

if these are stock they are very uncomfortable
yes the number is 00-0319 i believe ill take a pic of that in the morning

Re: replacement seats?
got her from Landmark Honda up in Alexandria... so i guess its just my tall ass that cant fit in this car haha... would taking out those seats to put in older leather integra seats be an easy reversible option if i chose to sell it one day?
also im wondering instead of getting new seats, can i just go to a mechanic and make the seats RECLINE more... thats the only problem

Re: replacement seats?
I'd avoid leather Integra seats. You tend to slide around on them in corners
USDM ITR seats or cloth Integra seats would be better IMO for holding you still.

Re: replacement seats?
If willing I will trade you my USDM OEM ITR seats for your JDM OEM ITR seats, just an idea.

Re: replacement seats?
i really just want the seat to move back can mechanics change that?
Also someone said i could buy the original Type R seats which i already have, is it possible to buy the leather GS-R seats... im just looking for a link or somthing here. just a place to buy some seats that fit the car and look decent. leather or cloth... id keep these type r seats if a mechanic can make it more flexible

Re: replacement seats?
As for moving the seat back I'm sure there could be something made... But how safe if you have an accident?
ALL integra seats are just about the same size and position- So getting a GSR seat would not be any different then the R seat (position) GSR seats have a slightly harder bottom cushion and as Joe said leather which results in sliding.
You could get yourself an aftermarket seat and use lower seat rails, but the front/back would still be about the same.

Re: replacement seats?
My US ITR seats recline all the way to the bottom cushion of the back seat and sit my 6'5 300 lb. dad pretty nicely if you want to trade.
